Crochet Meshy Stitch Scarf

Learning crochet stitches is always  fun, this week I learnt about Mesh stitch and easy to follow pattern even the beginner can do it.

Another quick project I finished a scarf, a gift for a friend, took me 2days though Lol!

This scarf measure 47" just right for this summer weather here in Australia. 

I used ice yarn for this project, my first time using this yarn it was soft and light, I really love how this scarf turned out. If you would like to purchase this yarn here is the link it's my friend yarn store http://yarnstore.yarnshopping.com/baby-yarns-magic-light. 

For the materials I used:

5mm hook

Ice yarn magic light

scissor for weaving ends

yarn needle

Stitches used are and it's in US term

sc - single crochet

dc- double crochet

For the pattern:

Multiple chain of 4 plus 6 extra turning

I chained 24 plus 6

Row 1  :  work 1sc to the 10th chain from hook 

  

                

* ch5, skip 3sts, 1sc to the next chain, rep* to the end.

Row 2 :  Ch5, 1sc into 3rd chain of  ch5 space

               

 *ch5, 1sc  into 3rd st of next ch5 space

    repeat from* to last space or loop, 

   ch5, sc to the 4th st, ch2, skip 2 sts, dc next st.

Row 3 :  ch6, skip ch2 space and work  *1sc to the 3rd st of ch5 space

Ch5, repeat from* to the end, work 1sc to the 3rd st of ch5 space.

Row 4:  Ch5, 1sc to the 3rd st of first ch5 space

               *ch5, 1sc into 3rd st of next ch5 space

                repeat from* to last space

               ch5, 1sc to the 3rd st of last space, 

                ch5, sc to the 3rd st, ch2, skip 1 st, dc next st.

Repeat from row 3 and 4 until you have your desired length, if you make it wider you will have a beautiful, wrap around scarf.

Gemma's Crochet Scarf

Looking for a Christmas present, just found one lol, a scarf name after my Sister <3

This is an easy scarf to make, not that hard, although the picture shows but I assure you even beginners can do it.

This is in US terms and I also included the stitches used. Hope you enjoy making this scarf

This is a simple stitch for making scarf, cowl,blanket or any possibilities that you can make,
 just add chain.

Materials:

• 4.5mm hook
• 8ply yarn or  your own choice ( I used light pink )
• Scissor
• Yarn needle
  
  

Stitches used:

• Single crochet (sc)
• Double crochet (dc)
• V-stitch ( DC, ch2, DC )
• Cluster - dc3tog ( double crochet three together decrease)

To begin:

Ch26, sc 2nd chain from hook

Row 1:  *Ch2, skip 2sts, work ( 1dc, ch2, 1dc ) v-stitch made

               Ch2, skip 2sts, sc next st, ch2 repeat from*

               Ch2, skip 2sts, sc last st ( 4 v-stitch made)

              



Row 2: Ch4, *work (cluster, ch2, cluster,ch2,cluster ) 

             3 clusters made into the v-stitch of previous row. 

             Ch1, repeat from* to end. Ch1, skip 2sts, dc last chain.

 

Row 3: ch4 *dc to the ch2 of cluster just made

             Ch1, repeat next ch2 cluster. Ch1, DC next ch1 space

             Ch1, repeat from*

             Ending with DC top of ch4 

 

Row 4: ch3 count as first DC

*DC next ch1 space, DC next DC, repeat* until the end.

             Dc 4th chain of ch4 end with dc next st.

Row 5: Ch1, sc same st, ch2, skip 2sts, work ( 1dc, ch2, 1dc ) v-stitch made

            Ch2, skip 2sts, sc next st, ch2 repeat from*

            Ch2, skip 2sts, sc last st ( 4 v-stitch made)

    Repeat from row 2 until you have your desired length of scarf.

    I ended up Row 3.

How to Crochet Butterfly stitch

A beautiful crochet stitch with so much possibilities for it.

You can make anything you like as you can, 

it can be scarf, wrap around and most of all 

easy to follow pattern.

All you need: 

4.5mm hook or US #7 

4 seasons stallion 8 ply yarn 

I used Carnival 8 ply 100% acrylic yarn

hot pink yarn only for tutorial

Scissor

Stitches used and in US term

Dc- double crochet

Sc - single crochet

Hdc- half double crochet

For the pattern:

Ch48, plus 2 extra turning chain or

make chain as long as divisible by 12 plus 2 extra turning

Row 1 : Work 1sc to the 3rd chain from hook

and 1sc into each of chain to end.

Row 2 : Ch3, count as first dc, turn

3dc into same st 

*Ch4, skip 4sts.,

         1sc into each of next 3 sts

ch4, skip 4 sts., work 7 dc into next st.,

repeat from*

Ch4, skip 4 sts

1sc into each of next 3 sts

Ch4, skip 4 sts.,

4dc into 2nd ch of ch2.

Row 3 : Ch2 count as first hdc, turn

1hdc into each of next 3sts

*ch4, sc into 2nd st of 3 sts.

ch4, 1hdc into each of next 7 sts.,

repeat from* to end

ending with hdc into each of next 3 sts.,

1hdc into 3rd ch. of ch3.

Row4: Ch3 count as first dc, turn

1dc into each of next 3 sts

*3dc into ch4 space, repeat to the next ch4 space

1dc into each of next 7 sts., 

repeat from* to end

1dc into each of next 3 sts., 

1dc into 2nd ch of ch2.

Row 5 : Ch1 count as first sc, turn

1sc into each of next 5 sts

*ch3, skip 2 sts., 

1sc into each of next 11 sts., repeat from* to the end.

1sc into each of next 5 sts

1sc into the 3rd ch of ch3.

Row 6 : Ch3 to count as first dc, turn

work 3dc same st.

*ch4, skip 5 sts., 1sc into ch3 space

ch4, skip 5 sts, 7dc into next st

repeat from* to end

4dc into last chain

Row7 : Ch2 count as first hdc, turn

work 1 hdc into each of next 3 sts.,

*ch4, skip ch4 space

sc to the sc of previous row

ch4, skip ch4 space, 1hdc into each of next 7sts.,

repeat from*

ch4, skip ch4 space, sc next sc

ch4, skip next ch4 space

1hdc to the next 3 sts

1hdc into the 3rd chain of ch3

Repeat row4 to row7 
 until you have your desired length of your scarf.
fasten off
weave ends.
