Know your hooks

 

When i first started my crochet hobby, i always get confused of the hook i am using, every time i watched youtube, always says, the bigger the hook is, the bigger your work also. So, i started searching what are the hooks are and the sizes:


If you using thread:            hook size will be (mm)

100                                          0.60
80                                            0.60
60                                            0.75mm
40                                            1.00mm
20                                            1.25
10                                            1.5-1.75

if you using yarn:

3 ply                                       2-2.5
4 ply                                       2.5-3
8 ply                                       3.5-4

For the bigger hooks

I usually used hook size 5.0 to 6.0 unless i will make a necklace in thread then i will use smaller hook.
